As an authorized affiliate of Agena Astro, you agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions contained in this Agreement. Please read the entire Agreement carefully before registering and promoting Agena Astro as an affiliate.

Getting Started
In order to apply to the Agena Affiliate Program, please fill out the Program Application on this page. Once your application is submitted, we will let you know if you are approved or not via email.

Eligibility
In order to qualify for the Agena Affiliate Program, you must have and maintain a strong online presence: a blog, social media account, YouTube channel, etc. that posts regular content about astronomy or astrophotography with a sizable following. Please include any relevant links in your application.

Commissions
Once approved, Agena Affiliates will earn a commission based on product purchases by customers who visit the Agena website directly from your affiliate links. You will be able to generate product affiliate links within the “Dashboard” tab within Refersion. It is important to note that your commission will be based on the final product price, excluding promotional discounts, product taxes, shipping fees, coupons, or gift cards. In order for a sale to be eligible for commission, the customer must have arrived on the website through your affiliate link or within the set period of your cookie days according to your Commission Plan, which is typically 10 days. Affiliates are prohibited from using their own links to purchase equipment from Agena Astro.

The customer’s purchase must be accepted, and paid for in full before you receive any commission. In order for a commission to be eligible for a payout, 40 days must pass from the customer’s date of purchase. This is to ensure that products purchased through your affiliate link are not returned or refunded. There is no minimum commission amount, meaning any and all purchases through your affiliate links will be paid out to you. All commissions will be paid out through PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, please create one as it is the only payment platform we offer at this time. It is also your responsibility to ensure the accuracy and activity of your PayPal account. If you change your PayPal account, it is your responsibility to ensure you inform us via email to [email protected].

Payouts
Affiliates will be paid via PayPal by Agena Astro on the 25th day of each calendar month in accordance with the Commissions clause. The amount owed to you as of the 25th will be transferred. All pending payments (40 days post-purchase) and payments past the 25th of the month will be transferred to the following month(s).

Legal Process: 1099 Form
If you are a United States citizen and your affiliate commission is $600 or more in a financial year, we are required to issue a 1099 Tax Form to you for legal purposes. You must ​​record the income you received as an independent contractor or for some other source of income. In December of each year, we will require you to share the following documents and information with us for the 1099 Form: (a) Social Security Number, (b) Current Address, and (c) Your Full Name. Since the following information is sensitive and confidential, we request that you share this information with us directly at [email protected] and no one else.

Promotions
At Agena, we are committed to providing the best prices, products and promotions to all of our stakeholders – customers, affiliates and other partners. Based on our product stock, we will occasionally offer equipment for review to publicize certain astronomy products or accessories. We reserve the right to all promotional events, including the timing, commission rates, and/or products.

Cookies
Agena is committed to fairly compensating all its affiliate partners for their support. We recognize that customers that visit our website from affiliate links may not purchase our products immediately due to the high cost and nature of the industry. However, if the customer makes a transaction soon after viewing your content, we will make sure you are fairly compensated with commissions. We are committed to providing the fairest affiliate cookies in the industry!

Termination
Agena reserves the right to suspend or terminate an affiliate partner at our sole discretion. Some possible reasons for termination may include sharing any Agena affiliate documents with others, promoting politically incorrect or offensive content, suspicious activities, violating the values or intellectual property of Agena, illegal activities, etc. We also reserve the right to remove or modify any advertisements, marketing, or promotions by the Affiliate at our sole discretion.

Changes to the Affiliate Program
Agena reserves the right to modify or suspend our affiliate program at our sole discretion at any time. Sufficient notice will be provided for any such changes, and affiliates will be fully compensated for commissions earned up to that point.

Limited Liability
Agena Affiliates participate in this program at his/her own risk. Agena takes no responsibility for any damages, economic losses or inconveniences from the use of the Affiliate Program.

Self-Consumption of Affiliate Links
You are not permitted to use your own affiliate link to purchase products from our website, i.e., you cannot generate a link for a product or use an existing product link for personal use. You will need to purchase the product at full price listed on our website. Affiliates who violate this policy will be immediately removed from our program and we will alert other astronomy dealer sites as well.

Using our Product Descriptions & Images
You may not use any part of our product descriptions on your own website. If you wish to list a product Agena Astro sells on your own website and use an affiliate link to AgenaAstro.com, you must write your own original product description. We do grant you the ability to use the main image for that product on your website, but no more than one image.
